An Iconic Las Vegas Elopement at The Mid Century Manor and Sure Thing Chapel Old Vegas Meets New Vegas

Classic Downtown Vegas Wedding – Retro and Vintage Inspired Wedding

There’s something utterly magical about combining the charm of old Vegas with the sleek sophistication of new Vegas. When Max and Riley decided to elope, they knew they wanted their day to reflect both eras of this iconic city. The result? An unforgettable celebration that perfectly blended vintage glamour with modern chic, all beautifully captured by The Combs Creative.

Photography & Videography: @thecombscreative

Max and Riley opted for full coverage of both photography and videography, with 12 hours of continuous shooting by one photographer and one videographer. This allowed us to spend the entire day with them, ensuring that every moment was captured without the pressure of a rushed schedule. With just the couple and the creative team, we enjoyed slow moments and an intimate setting, free from outside perspectives and opinions. This gave us the luxury to be in the moment with them, letting them interact naturally and exploring more intentional, well-composed shots.

Venue: @themidcenturymanor

The Mid Century Manor provided the perfect backdrop for this stylish affair. With its retro charm and timeless elegance, the venue set the stage for a day filled with romance and sophistication.

Ceremony Venue: @surethingchapel

The couple exchanged vows at the Sure Thing Chapel, a venue known for its quirky, fun atmosphere. It was the perfect place for Max and Riley to begin their journey together, surrounded by the vintage allure of old Vegas.

The Day in Depth

Getting Ready at Mid Century Manor

Max and Riley started their day at the Mid Century Manor in historic downtown Las Vegas. Riley took her time getting ready, sipping on a mimosa while wearing a pink silk robe with ostrich feathers and colorful rollers. Her For Love and Lemons lingerie added a touch of romance to the morning. Meanwhile, Max relaxed in his boxer briefs and black silk pajamas, enjoying some whiskey while waiting for Riley to finish. Leila handled men’s grooming, ensuring Max looked sharp for the day.

We captured some classy boudoir shots with Riley and steamy couples photos just before they got dressed. The relaxed pace allowed us to document these intimate moments beautifully.

The Ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel

From there, we headed to downtown Las Vegas to the OG Sure Thing Chapel (a second location, Sure Thing Too, is opening soon!). Max and Riley were married by Surely the Showgirl, complete with a little burlesque show and a heartfelt vow exchange. They posed in the photobooth and had their first dance to a record player available in the chapel.

Exploring Downtown Las Vegas

After the ceremony, Max and Riley bolted out the door, ready to explore the iconic Arts District and Fremont Street area. We took stunning photos on the Binion’s rooftop garage with its glitzy dice and the backdrop of the Circa Casino. The couple cooled down with some classic slot machine photos inside the casino, kissed under the Plaza twinkle lights, and enjoyed cotton candy at the Container Park. They played in front of the “Greetings from Las Vegas” mural and shared a romantic spaghetti dinner, Lady and the Tramp style, at Battista’s.

Back to Mid Century Manor

The celebration continued back at the Mid Century Manor with cake and champagne. After some time celebrating, Max and Riley jumped in the pool, had cake in bed in a little risque fashion, and played with a money gun from all their Vegas winnings.

This was the first event of its kind at the Mid Century Manor, kicking off an incredible start to amazing projects. We are now a preferred vendor at this venue and offer $250-$500 discounts for events held here. This spectacular elopement was published in the Rock and Roll Bride international publication, both in print and online.
