Karla and Joey said, “I do” on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at Lake Side Weddings during sunset. It was truly a magical day! With Karla’s dad recently coming home from overseas and Joey’s dad officiating their wedding, it was a day full of tears and happy moments.
When asked what their inspiration was for that day here’s what they had to say, “We wanted the day to be elegant, romantic, and effortless.” With their color choices of mauve, ivory, gold, and pops of greenery it was definitely timeless and romantic.
They wanted their day to be fun and memorable, from their emotional first look, the special touches during their ceremony, and the private last dance, it was a day for the books.
When it came to planning their wedding they mention a few things that helped with the stress…
- Having family help (Hi, Mom!) to help was a huge blessing.
- Working out and getting your mind off planning was the best.
- Planning is a roller coaster, but enjoy this season of your engagement because it’s such a short chapter in your life story.
When it came to getting married, Karla and Joey focused on this, “We are just two imperfect people who love God and love to have fun! We know God has brought us together for a reason…”
Their biggest piece of advice for couples in the planning process is to, “Enjoy it! Take in every second of the process. Never lose sight of why you’re doing it. It can be so easy to get caught up in planning the ‘perfect’ wedding but at the end of the day, it’s about getting to marry your best friend and starting a life together!”
The only thing Karla would have added to her wedding was an otter, but those are a little hard to find on a whim in Las Vegas. See their beautiful wedding day below!
